#30millionreasons campaign launched in 23 languages
According to EURORDIS 30 million people in Europe live with a rare disease. Today there are only treatments for 6% of rare diseases and it takes an average of five years for a diagnosis.
People living with a rare disease remain marginalised in society. and the COVID-19 pandemic has increased their vulnerability with disruptions to care for 84% of people.
A recent Foresight Study shows we cannot wait for European action on rare diseases.
Yet no country can tackle the challenges of rare diseases alone. Their future depends on policy makers taking European action.
Through EURORDIS' campaign people from all corners of Europe can share their reason for European action on rare diseases!
Everybody can submit their own reason and mobilise their community to do the same. Eurordis hopes to get representation from every country, and every disease area
