EU-IPFF has achieved Eligible Organisation Status at EMA
"We are proud to announce that our application to the European Medicines Agency for Eligible Organisation Status has been evaluated and approved - this status acknowledges the efforts the EU-IPFF have put into meeting the EMA's criteria and will mean that going forward the EMA will be in direct contact with the EU-IPFF providing opportunities for us to ensure the needs and concerns of pulmonary fibrosis patients are represented," says CEO of EU-IPFF Liam Galvin.
The European Medicines Agency engages with a network of more than thirty-five eligible organisations, ensuring that the needs and concerns of a wide range of patients and consumers are represented via direct contact with the Agency.
All these organisations are not-for-profit and in most cases have a European Union-wide mandate. included are umbrella organisations encompassing a number of smaller or national organisations like EU-IPFF and organisations with a focus on a specific area
The eligible organisations receive targeted EMA communications and consultations and frequently assist in the identification of experts for product-specific matters.
