Research track at the Virtual PF Patient Summit
There is no cure for pulmonary fibrosis and current treatments aim at slowing the course of the disease, relieving symptoms and helping people affected by PF stay active and healthy. Depending on the type of pulmonary fibrosis a person have, there may be medications to slow progression of the disease and others that will help relieve symptoms. This means that the PF community has a huge focus on research in treatments for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
At the Virtual PF Patient Summit we present a research track including
- presentations aiming to give new insights on antifibrotic drugsband how to involve patients in treatment decisions and discuss side-effects and symptom management.
- an overview of clinicalk trials in the PF field and potential therapies moving forward
Also a panel discussion chaired by the President of the EU-IPFF Steve Jones will focus on the next generation ILD researchers
