“Sharing Breath” an Italian event to celebrate #PFMonth

On Thursday 9 September, at 10.30 a.m., in the presence of the Mayor of Forlì Gian Luca Zattini, the first initiative of Sharing Breath 2021 a photographic exhibition will take place. The Mayor of Forlì Gian Luca Zattini will lead us through various initiatives until the final evening on Saturday 11 September.

On Friday 10 September, starting at 9.30 a.m., the Hospital of Forlì will host The Breath Day, a Scientific Research and Rare Pulmonary Diseases congress. The Scientific Coordinator is Prof. Venerino Poletti, Director of the Department of Diseases of the Respiratory System.

The Breath Day will also be broadcast via videoconference and live streaming on Sharing Breath's social channels FB and YouTube, to ensure that all patients, associations and interested parties can participate even remotely.

The conference is dedicated to patients, their families and the entire world of associations, with a scientific program that includes talks by medical experts from all over Italy, testimonies by patients suffering from rare diseases or transplanted patients and Presidents of the relevant Associations, with the aim of focusing on the topic of Scientific Research on Rare Lung Diseases and the impact of the SARS-COV-2 virus on the possible increase in patients suffering from complex respiratory diseases.

On the afternoon of 10 September, an important sporting event will be held at the Stadium in Forlì, the "Paolo Ballelli" Memorial, which will feature the Italian National Transplanted Football Team together with two teams created in memory of people who have shown that pathologies can also be fought through sport, sending out a message to young people through the example set by the athletes on the field.

The 10 September program ends with a fund-raising dinner at the Chiostro di San Mercuriale.

On Saturday 11 September, the day's program will start at 4.00 p.m. when Piazza Saffi will be transformed into Breath Square with the presence of all the partner organizations, athletes, reference bodies and companies in the energy sector, to deal with the themes of Prevention, Rare Lung Diseases, and the gift of Transplantation and to make the population aware of these issues.

At 8.30 pm at Piazza Saffi and in live streaming on Sharing Breath's social channels FB and YouTube, to ensure maximum sharing from all over Italy, the No(t)te di Respiri show returns with maestro Marco Sabiu, the Sharing Breath Orchestra and the extraordinary participation of singer-songwriter Leo Gassmann, winner of Sanremo Giovani 2020.

In addition to musical entertainment, the show aims to try to tell, through theatrical exposition, how patients suffering from lung diseases face their days amidst difficulties and worries.

At around 9.30 p.m., maestro Marco Sabiu will invite spectators and performers to perform the now traditional #BreatheTogether, one minute of conscious breathing for the whole world, dedicated to patients suffering from respiratory diseases.
